Signing in

How do I sign in?

Open the customer portal and enter the mobile number the shop has for you. You get a 6-digit text code. Type that code. It expires in 10 minutes.

A code is sent only if that number is already on your job. A number the shop has not saved is not texted.

Your job

How do I start a job?

The shop opens the job. Tell them the business name, who decides on the sign, and the mobile number where proofs should go. They also need the street, city, and ZIP where the sign will be installed.

What photos, artwork, and measurements should I provide?
  • Your logo file, if you have one.
  • A straight-on photo of the wall or the spot where the sign will go.
  • The words on the sign, and about how tall and how wide those words should be.
  • How wide and how tall the logo should be.

The shop measures the wall. The whole wall can hold the sign. A height marked on the photo, such as a window, is only there so the drawing is to scale. It is not a height limit.

Your proof

How will I see my proof?

When the proof is ready, the shop texts you a link to the customer portal. Sign in with your mobile number and the text code. The portal shows the sign size and whether it is approved. It does not show a price or a date.

The proof itself shows your art on a photo of the building, at the size the shop measured. Day and Night are the same sign, one in daylight and one lit. The drawing next to the photo shows the dimensions.

What does the 2 inch note mean?

The proof says: Renderings are approximate. Actual installed size and placement may vary by approximately 2". That means the drawing is a close picture, not a promise that the installed sign will land on the exact inch. It is not a grade the proof has to pass.

How long does a design proof usually take?

The shop aims for the first design proof in under 5 minutes after intake, and under 2 minutes for a simple sign with one logo. That is a target for the shop. It is not a promise that your proof will be done in 5 minutes.

Approval and changes

How do I approve?

On the proof, type your full name — first and last — and approve that version. A first name alone is not enough. If you are not at the screen, the shop can type your name for you.

How do I ask for a change?

On the proof, write what you want changed and submit it. If you tell Pablo P. the change in your own words, he can draft the sentence. You still confirm it before it is submitted.

A change to the words, the colors, or the size can be updated on the proof. A change to the lighting, how the sign mounts, or brand-new artwork goes to the shop's designer.

What happens after I approve?

The shop gets your approval and a text goes to your mobile that the design is approved and print art is next. That text has no price and no date. Print art is the production file, and it comes after this approval.

When the artwork file is on your job, the portal has a button to download it. That file is three pages: the sign with sizes and colors, the art by itself, and the photo of the building with the sign on it. Approving does not create that file by itself.

Who do I ask about a price or a date?

Ask the shop. On the proof, Pablo P. can talk about the size, the colors, and a change you want. If you ask him for a price or a date, he does not quote one. He says he will pass that to Patrick Winn, and Patrick will follow up.

City rules

Will my sign need a city permit?

For a sign on a building, a pole sign, or a monument, the shop checks the city's rules for the install address before they send the proof. Window lettering, a banner, a yard sign, and similar pieces usually skip that check.

The check is advice for the shop. The city, the zoning, and the landlord can still be stricter. The shop confirms with the city before promising a permit.
